Montaña Golf Course, a new mountain-valley type course, is located in Kỳ Sơn district, Hòa Bình, approximately an hour from the city center via the Hanoi-Hòa Bình Expressway. This 18-hole, par-72 course, which began welcoming golfers with its soft opening in 2026, was designed by Spain's Olazabal Design under the direction of chief architect Tony Ortner. It is known as the first project in Southeast Asia by the design team named after legendary golfer José María Olazábal. The design concept is inspired by Spanish Flamenco dance, featuring fairways that elegantly weave through Hòa Bình's limestone mountains like silk ribbons. With elevation differences between holes reaching up to approximately 110m, the course offers dynamic and challenging rounds characteristic of its mountainous terrain. It is highly recommended for Korean golfers, especially intermediate to advanced players who enjoy exploring new courses, seeking to simultaneously experience European design aesthetics and exhilarating mountain golf on a state-of-the-art course.
